What size should I use?
A QR code needs to stay scannable at the distance it'll actually be viewed from. As a rule of thumb, size it to roughly 1/10th of the scanning distance.

- Is this QR code free to use, including commercially?
- Yes. Codes generated here are static images you own outright — there's no watermark, expiry, or account required, and you can use them in commercial materials.
- Will this QR code ever stop working or expire?
- No. This tool creates a static QR code, meaning the content is encoded directly into the pattern itself. It will scan correctly indefinitely, as long as the underlying link or text stays valid. This differs from dynamic QR codes sold by some services, which route through a third-party redirect that can break if that service shuts down.
- Why won't my QR code scan after I added a logo?
- QR codes have built-in error correction, but a logo that's too large can still cover essential data cells. Keep any logo to roughly 20% or less of the code's area, and always test-scan the final image with a couple of different phones before printing it anywhere.
- What resolution should I download for printing?
- Set the size before downloading rather than resizing afterward — scaling up a small image blurs the pattern and can make it unscannable. Use the size guide below as a starting point, and choose SVG if you need a vector file for large-format printing.
- Is my data uploaded to a server?
- No. The code is generated and rendered entirely in your browser, including any logo you upload. Nothing you enter here is sent or stored anywhere.
